POOL CATCH-SELF LATCHING SNIB LATCH – THUMB TURN

Safety Latches are ideal for swimming pool situations, where council regulations require a self latching gate or door. Most state regulations say something along the lines of;

• Gate or door must open outward from pool
• Gate or door must be self closing and self latching
• Latch must be more than 1.5m from the ground
• Gate or door must latch shut on the first swing

Over the last five years over 150 Australian children under the age of five drowned. For every drowning death, it is estimated that a further 10 toddlers have a near-fatal experience.
